NJJN members are dedicated to pursuing anti-racist policies in the youth justice system. There continues to be a huge disproportion in the number of children of color in the justice system at every stage of the process. Yet not all policymakers are cognizant of this and many do not take it into account in drafting legislation and other policies. This toolkit will provide you with a fact sheet on racial disparities in the youth justice system, to which you can add your state specific information.
